GRANDE ECOLE PATH 2024-2025

OVERVIEW

The “Parcours Grande École Ferrières” distinguishes students who decide from the moment they enroll in their first year to combine the Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees prepared at Ferrières and benefit from the possibility of obtaining the PGE EBS diploma as well. This curriculum offers students in-depth expertise and experience in the profession of their choice.

At the end of this exceptional course, whose coherence and complementarity are studied from the first to the fifth year, students receive, in addition to their two diplomas, the unique parchment of the Summum Diplôma Ferrières, authenticated and serial numbered.

At Ferrières, we believe that success is rooted in an intense academic program combining theory, project design, field practice and personal development activities.

This curriculum provides students with in-depth expertise and experience in the profession of their choice.

Students who have to apply for this highly selective course from the first year benefit from special conditions and support.

BUSINESS FOUNDATION COURSE FERRIÈRES

TWO YEARS OF RICH AND INTENSE DISCOVERIES:

  • The full range of professions in the hospitality, gastronomy and luxury industries, enabling me to affirm my life project and structure the most appropriate path.
  • The fundamentals of responsible business management (courses, case studies and real-life projects).
  • The day-to-day realities of my future as an entrepreneur or manager in all types of business.

THIRD-YEAR EXPATRIATION

  • Semester 5: On the Ferrières campus in Barcelona to complete my intercultural training and discover new professional practices in a new company through the PAP program specialized in the major of my choice.
  • Semester 6: Experiential expatriation in one of 4 modes: linguistic, academic, professional or humanitarian.

SPECIALIZATION

Objectives

  • Broaden my entrepreneurial vision from the “micro” to the “macro” level
  • Enrich my managerial skills, so that I can confidently apply to manage departments or SMEs.
  • Take a step back to understand the consequences of all the choices made within each department on the company’s overall results.

WINE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

The focus is on product development, distribution, merchandising, negotiation and oenology. Potential careers are numerous, to name but a few: purchasing, marketing, communication, export or product manager.

REVENUE MANAGEMENT & DISTRIBUTION

In addition to benefiting from cross-disciplinary course units, students learn business games in class and gain a solid grounding in advanced data management, digital marketing, distribution, pricing and performance optimization.

HOSPITALITY TALENT DEVELOPMENT

FOOD SERVICES & EVENTS DESIGN

The Food Services & Events Design specialization is a cross-disciplinary program in which students are actively involved in project work concerning strategy, marketing, communication and sales operations. This specialization covers the major aspects of the gastronomy industry (catering, food management, etc.) and event design, and guarantees the implementation of a creative customer experience (globalized, local, personalized). Graduates can move on to careers in international catering and the events sector.

International Hospitality Leadership and Sustainable Development

The International Hospitality Leadership and Sustainable Development specialization is a cross-disciplinary program in which students are actively involved in project work concerning strategy, marketing, communication and business operations. This specialization covers the major aspects of the luxury hotel industry, including entrepreneurship and innovation in luxury, and ensures the implementation of a creative customer experience (globalized, local, personalized). Graduates in luxury hospitality can move on to careers in international hospitality and the service-oriented luxury sector.

International Luxury Management, Marketing and Responsible e-Business

TEACHING APPROACH AND MEANS

  • PROFESSIONALIZING EDUCATION, which enables students to acquire the technological, scientific and technical knowledge that makes up the training program, at a given level of expertise: it is delivered in the form of interactive courses.
  • APPLIED PROJECT TEACHING enables students to transfer the knowledge they have acquired into practice, and also to assimilate the problems faced by companies in the hospitality sector in a professional environment. It also contributes to personal development, both in terms of maturity and career choices (fields of activity, companies, trades, professions, geographical areas, etc.).
  • INDUCTIVE TEACHING through participation in recurring or exceptional events (trade fairs, meetings, masterclasses, competitions, visits, internships, etc.).
  • INDIVIDUALIZED ASSISTANCE for personal development, further studies, professional projects and employability.

EVALUATION METHODS

Each course is assessed by both Continuous Assessment (CC) and Final Examination (ExF). All the assessments for each course lead to a CC grade that counts for 60% and an ExF grade that counts for 40%.

Final exam: Practical test in a professional situation, case study, project completion, portfolio presentation, final dissertation…
